This summer it’s really hot in crowded places especially in the cities now that you don’t have much air to breathe but only electric fans and Air conditioning.
How to get there from Metro Manila
Quick guide going to Minalungao National Park
- From Metro Manila ride a bus going to Cabanatuan City ( Major bus terminal in Manila ).
- If you want to ride via SCTEX, get off at Cabanatuan City Terminal and transfer to a bus bound for Gapan.
Via San Miguel Bulacan just till to the conductor to drop you off at Tinio St junction in Gapan. Look for Gen Tinio-bound/Papaya PUJs. From Gen Tinio market you can ride a tricycle going to Minalungao National Park.

Is the water deep in the Minalungao National Park river?
There is a shallow part of the river where tourists are allowed to swim. There is also a part where the water is only up to the knees.
Reminder
My reminder to everyone who wants to go to the park is to wear a life vest for your protection because they prohibit you from swimming if you are not wearing one. Because there are areas in the river that are really deep so they just keep you safe. You can rent a life vest in the area for only 200 pesos
The emerald water of the river is dark brown in the rainy season. It’s good to go to Minalungao National Park in summer because you can really see the beautiful color of the water.
One of the things I like about it is discovering the big rocks where you walk over them until you reach the paved path. You still have to be careful when walking because we cannot avoid accidents.
Road going to the Park
On your way to Minalungao National Park, the road is quite difficult to pass because it is not paved yet. I can’t say that everything is paved, but when you actually go to the park, the road is quite difficult.
The Minalungao National Park
Minalungao National Park was declared a National park in 1967 according to Republic Acts 50100. It has an area of 2018 hectares.
The road to get here is difficult but I’m sure you’ll get the most out of your visit because the park is really beautiful and the surroundings are relaxing.
From Manila, your trip to Minalungao National Park will take 3 to 5 hours. This place is not very far, it is just close to the City. If you have your own car, it’s easy to access on waze.
We used this waze to track down this park and it did not disappoint us and arrived on time. Waze has helped us a lot, so for those who want to travel to the park, don’t be afraid to use it.

This hanging bridge is also one of the things that attract tourists, many people come here to take pictures with this bridge.
This Hanging bridge is very beautiful where you can see the beauty of the river and the huge rocks that are amazing to see.

Yes, the place has a wide parking area. From the parking area, you have to walk about 50 meters to reach the cottages, depending on how much you carry.
- Can I rent a trike in the area?
Yes, you can rent a trike if you want to go to the place quickly, it will cost 400 to 500 pesos which is 14 km distance to Minalungaw.
- Is there a grill in the area?
Yes you can grill on site.
- When is a good time to go to Minalungao National Park
It’s nice to go to the park during summer so you can see the aqua blue green water in the river.
- Are there store’s in Minalungao National Park?
Yes, there are stores available at the jump off point of Minalungao National Park that sell different types of food and there are also shops where you can buy your necessities in the park.

What I can say to those who are thinking of going to Minalungao National Park is to visit it while it’s still summer because here you will see the true beauty of the place and you will definitely not regret it.
