Dinagat Island Tourist Spot
We will wander to distant places where we will visit their various tourist spots and this is Dinagat Island. It can be found in Mindanao North Eastern and part of the province of Surigao Del Norte.
Places with different types of beautiful tourist spots that tourists actually go to even from distant cities.
I have been to Dinagat Island 3 times, the first time I was with my family and the second time with my lover and the third time I was alone.
Even though I have been to the island many times, I still come back because I have fallen in love with this place. It removes problems and fatigue especially when you see the views they have.
How to get there ?
- The easiest way to get to Surigao Del Norte is to take a plane. Depending on the price of the ticket you can buy, sometimes they increase and sometimes the ticket is only at a low price. What I paid for the ticket was 1,300 pesos one way and the return was 2,100 pesos.
Note : I bought the ticket 4 weeks before my flight, so it was cheap.
- Ride a tricycle to Surigao Blvd (15 pesos)
- From Surigao Blvd you will take a boat to Dinagat Island (200 pesos)

Cheap hotel According to ( Booking & Agoda )
The first thing I did when I arrived on the island was to look for a place to stay. When I found it, I just put my things in the room and went out again to go to a nearby restaurant because I was really hungry.
There are many nearby restaurants that can be found near the island so I didn’t have a hard time looking for a place to eat.
I was so hungry that I forgot the name of the restaurant I ate at.
Dinagat Island Tourist Spot
On my first day staying in the area, I just explored the nearby tourist spots here.
I rode a Bao-bao (province tricycle) for 25 pesos going to Islander Castle. but we didn’t get inside because it was just for picture taking.
It’s simple inside, you can see different island pictures stuck on their wall. I only stayed there for a while and went home to where I was staying, looking online for another good place to visit near the island.

Dinagat Island Tourist Spot
You can tell the van driver to stop by the hotel you’re staying at so you don’t have to hustle too much. ( 8am travel start for day 1 ).
The van will take you to Magsaysay Port, Libjo to board the boat to tour the island, which is about 1 hour from the hotel.
Our first boat trip we went to RSG Compe Resort
When you arrive at the island you will be greeted by very clear water. This resort is very nice, the surroundings are clean and beautiful (25 minutes travel from the port). RSG Compe Resort contact number +63912 263 1744.
This island is very beautiful and relaxing, did you know that the entrance fee to the resort is cheap, it costs only 50 pesos.
Underground Pool
The Underground Pool is very close to the RSG Compe resort, it’s only walking distance away, so it’s the next one we went to.
At first I thought that the underground pool on the island was simply beautiful, but when I actually got inside, I was amazed at how beautiful the cave was.
As soon as you enter you will see the stalactite and stalagmites that make it even more beautiful.
You can go right inside it and swim in the clear and cold water, but you have to wear a life jacket for your protection. After exploring the cave, you will also have lunch at the resort.
Dinagat Island Tourist Spot
Blue Lagoon
Today we will take a boat to the Blue Lagoon. The boat trip from the resort to the lagoon is 25 minutes.
The first thing you will see when going to the Blue Lagoon is the large rocks that have been overgrown with plants all around it which is very beautiful to look at.
You will find a toilet nearby and there are many cottages ( 500 pesos ) where you can stay.
Blue lagoon is so beautiful you can relax in the place. That’s why it’s called the blue lagoon because the water you see in the lagoon is really blue ahahaha
AO Beach view deck
It’s also close to the Blue Lagoon, climb up to see the true beauty of the lagoon below and get a good angle of it. (you only need to pay 30 pesos to go up)
It’s beautiful at the top you can see the true form of the Lagoon and its deep blue color is even more amazing to look at.
Jelmars Resort
Jelmars Resort is just opposite the blue Lagoon, it’s also very nice to take pictures here.
The entrance fee at Jelmars Resort is cheap, 10 pesos for adults and 5 pesos for kids. It’s so worth it once you get there the island is so beautiful.
Their water is so clear you can see the fish swimming under the water. After we were at Jelmars Resort, we went to the port again, where the van was waiting for us.
Basilisa,Dinagat View deck
The van we were riding in first passed Balisa, Dinagat View deck. It’s also beautiful, you can see the sea below which is also amazing to look at.
At the Basilisa View deck you can eat and take pictures with a beautiful view. You can feel the breeze while you eat and look at their beautiful flower garden. Most of the foods they sell are really Filipino foods but they are delicious.
After we ate, the van took us to where we were staying and will pick us up again early the next day, but it’s sad to say that I won’t be able to join our tour the next day.
I didn’t feel good last night after our day 1 tour, maybe because I was tired and wet so I caught a cold and my body hurt. I just rested and told the van that it would not pick me up because I had a fever.
I promise guys that even if I get sick, I will make the most of my vacation in Dinagat Island. The place is really nice I only regret because I didn’t visit the others but I can say that it is worth it.
They told me that the day 2 tour they will go to is also good, so if you go here, go to what I didn’t go to during my last vacation here.
