My friend and I took a plane from NAIA Terminal Airport to Davao and when we got there, we crossed Daang Maharlika Hwy and took a bus with a fare of 40 pesos to the bus terminal, a 30 minute trip.
When we were at the terminal, we looked for a bus to Gensan. We walked for a while because we were dropped off at the back of the terminal so we walked it to enter the entrance ahahaha
When we entered the terminal, we immediately found the bus going to Gensan, so we got on it right away.
There is an ordinary bus that does not have air conditioning and there is a bus that does have air conditioning. We were happy because what we got was a nice bus with air conditioning, so we didn’t have to wait any longer.
From here to Gensan, because the bus only goes to Gensan, you have to get off and transfer to another bus “fare 315 pesos”. The bus we rode was the , Marbel bus which can be found at the Bulaong Terminal. ” fare 139 pesos. Your trip will take 3 hours, so you need a lot of patience.
We got off at Gaisano Mall Marbel and we rode a tricycle (“fare 25 pesos) to the Public Terminal and rode a van to Lake Sebu. The fee is 100 pesos and the van travels for 1 hour.

Lake Sebu is a great place to visit because its calm lake waters surrounded by green hills and forests create a beautiful setting. The presence of indigenous tribes adds a unique cultural dimension to its natural beauty.
We are very sorry because we didn’t get to the lotus flower because it was closed. According to a staff we talked to, it only opens from 5:30 am to 9:30 am. This is still our most exciting part to visit the unique beauty of the lotus flower.
First Place we visit
The first one we went to was 7 falls. When we arrived at the place, we first walked down to reach the falls itself. While we were walking, we saw a small store selling different types of vegetables and fruits. From the store we saw, just walk for 5 minutes to reach falls 1, the water flow is super strong.
After I saw it up close, I went to the other side. You will see a View Deck sign on the side of the bridge. Here you are actually in the middle of the river and you can see the falls behind you.
The next thing we did was try to experience one of the highest zip lines in Southeast Asia. Because we went on the weekend, we paid 350 pesos but it was worth it because we enjoyed it so much.
It’s a great feeling when the zipline starts moving, it’s like you’re flying in the clouds. Here you can also see the massive Falls 2 which is very beautiful to see.
If you’re afraid of heights, don’t try to ride their zipline ahahaha because it’s going so fast it’s like leaving your soul behind.
After that We rented Attire worth 50 pesos. We went inside the small hut and tried out their wonderful equipment.
After we toured the 7 falls Lake Sebu, we went to another tourist destination which is the Lang Dulay Weaving Center, it’s only 15 minutes from earlier.
For those who are now wondering why Lang Dulay was visited, he is credited with maintaining his people’s tradition of weaving T’nalak, a dyed cloth made from fine abaca fiber. To those who don’t know, Lang Dulay passed away on April 30, 2015
Here I tried to experience how to make T’nalak but I didn’t finish it because it takes 3 – 4 months to finish.
The next place we went to was the Punta Isla Lake Resort. It’s so beautiful here, it’s very quiet, cozy and you can really see the full beauty of the lake. Their entrance fee is not expensive at 50 pesos for adults and 30 pesos for kids.
Because it was noon when we got to Punta Isla, I felt hungry but the guide told me to eat on the side of the highway because there was a restaurant there.
I asked him if there wasn’t a restaurant inside the resort. He said that there is a restaurant inside, but they take a long time to serve, about 1:30 minutes.
After eating, I went back to the resort to enjoy the nice breeze. Punta Isla Lake Resort is very beautiful with an amazing view. Here you can rest well.
Just to let you know that you can stay overnight in Punta Isla. They have a nice hotel with an amazing view.

I stayed here for a day because I was tired and I haven’t slept much. For the day, I have energy to go home to Manila.
The next place I went to was the T’Boli Museum which is just near Punta Isla. The entrance fee I paid was only 30 pesos.
Their Museum is very simple, it is made of wood and bamboo which makes it even more beautiful. You have a lot of old equipment to see here. It’s fun to see this kind of weird stuff that you don’t see much these days.
After we went to the T’Boli Museum, we returned to the resort to stay for the night.
Visitors highly appreciate Lake Sebu for its pristine beauty, rich culture, and variety of activities.
A quiet environment and friendly locals add to the charm. Another dish that is highly praised in the place is their tilapia dish.\
