We will visit another beautiful tourist spot today, this is called Wawa Dam which is popular among tourists.
There are only a few foreigners visiting Wawa Dam, yesterday I went to a famous tourist spot called Wawa Dam located near Montalban, because I know someone who lives there.
One morning I felt like wandering in a beautiful place, and I thought that my friend’s house was near the Wawa Dam.
I invited them to accompany me to visit the Wawa, Dam that I always see on the internet.
What the story of Wawa Dam?
The Wawa Dam is a source of water in Manila, but it was abodoned when the “Angat Dam” was built in 1968.

The Wawa dam is a large and long river that has been a water supply for a long time, but it has been abandoned because new dams have been built.
How to get there?
When I went, I didn’t really have a problem, because I only booked a joy ride.
I didn’t go straight to Wawa Dam, I first went through my acquaintances who live near the area. The next day I went to the river and brought many companions to make it fun .
I was not wrong because we had a lot of fun when we went.

How to Commute?
- From SM Fairview
- look for a jeep or a bus that has Litex written on the front, you can also ask the drivers if they can pass the Litex, because others don’t have Litex written on it but they can pass it.
- When you’re at Litex, you’ll cross the food bridge to Jollibee.
- You have many options that you can ride.

I don’t know if foreigners will like to visit this big river, you can see how simple the place is. This river doesn’t run out of tourists, you’ll still see a lot of people coming, but you’ll mostly see Filipinos.

But please be careful always because the road to the river is very dangerous.
From the Barangay hall, it takes 10 to 15 minutes to walk to the Dam, you will see many small stores on the side of the road while walking, there are also vendors of different kinds of fruits, and there is also local Filipino food selling.
You can pass this door, but don’t try to enter because, inside this door it stinks, you will see human excrement that you will surely hate.
I know someone who went inside this door, he said the inside smelled bad and he saw human poop.
On the road to the main dam, the road is a bit dirty, you can smell something that is not good, but people don’t pay attention to it, they just came here for the place.
The Wawa Dam is not clean and not dirty, it’s average but people don’t pay much attention to it because the most important thing for them is to have fun.
You can go here without bringing food because you can buy a lot of different kinds of food, but if you are saving money you can also bring food so you don’t have to buy it at the store. There are cottages in the area where you can stay, the bamboo cottage costs 350 pesos.
Many say it was made during the Japanese era. You can see it on the side of the boat. it has been equipped with a gate to prevent accidents. Entry here is prohibited.
In Wawa dam you won’t spend a lot of money, the prices you can pay here are low, especially if you go to the place to see it in person, you will only spend about 20 pesos, if you don’t buy food or water.
When we went, each of us paid 20 pesos just for the entrance fee. Because we didn’t bathe in the river or even rent a cottage, we were just on the side looking at the big river. But when you want to buy, you will really spend.
