I have a friend who suggested that we try to visit Bituin Cove. This is the first time he saw it online and then he fell in love with the place. He told me this because I also like to travel, after 1 week we went to this island.

Bituin Cove is also known as “Hanukkah Beach” it is one of the best budget friendly beaches in Batangas.

Bituin Cove has very clear water and just a few meters you can see the corals that make the place more beautiful, you can see the small fishes that enjoy going around the beautiful corals underwater.

There are so many activities you can do here that you will really enjoy a lot. Bituin Cove is perfect for those who love to travel.

The place is relaxing, the surroundings are clean and you will see many people bringing tents and setting up by the sea.

How to get there from Manila to Bituin Cove

  • PITX Paranaque Intergrated Terminal Exchange ride a bus here going to Nasugbu. You must enter the entrance and go through a security check before you can go inside. This terminal is very nice with shops inside as well. The bus fee cost 100 pesos each ( Trip time 2 half hours )
  • The bus will stop at Papaya Road, Nasugbu and you can get off.
  • From Papaya Road ride a tricycle going to Papaya Yatch Charter, before you get here you have to register first you can see them just on the side of the road. The registration fee costs 20 pesos only and the tricycle is 100 pesos for 4 person ( trip time 5 minutes ).
  • From Papaya Yatch Charter walk a little, the boat is there. Boat price 3,000 pesos good for 6 person and if you want water activities add 500 pesos each. (Boat Travel 35 minutes).

When you arrive at the place, you will immediately be greeted by a beautiful view that makes you immediately excited to take a bath and go camping in the area.

The first thing we did when we were in Bituin Cove was to set up our tent to rest a little because we were still a little tired. The rent of the tent costs 300 pesos. And if you have tents at your house, you can also bring them so that you don’t have to pay for a tent in the area.

It’s very beautiful here, guys, the sand is a bit creamy and there are small stones, but it doesn’t hurt the feet too much when walking.

There are resorts in the area, but we don’t rent because it’s quite expensive, you might pay 12,000 pesos for 15 people for the room, but it’s worth it because it’s very big and spacious, it comes with an electric fan and generator. The outside of the room is old but the inside is clean and looks new.

There are also Kubos if you don’t want a big room, it costs 3,500 pesos for 4 people

  • 50 pesos entrance fee
  • 300 pesos Tent rental fee – tent + foam+pillow you can pay 800 pesos for 3 pax only.
  • 100 pesos Camping fee
  • 1500 pesos good for 12 person ( Island Hoping )
  • 300 pesos for open cottage rental fee
  • 50 pesos for day and 100 pesos for overnight ( Calayo beach parking fee)
  • 20 pesos jump off point ( Papaya Beach Environmental fee)

  • Butane Stove 150 pesos per 1 hour
  • Tent 2-5 pax 500 pesos / for 10 pax 1500 pesos.

My friend and I liked this island because it’s very relaxing and it’s not that expensive to pay here, I enjoyed it a lot.

We really enjoyed all the activities at Bituin Cove, it was one of the best experiences my friend and I had on the island.

Their toilet is really normal, not dirty and not clean. There is a fresh water that can be used to collect water just near the toilet so no worries.

There are so many hotels that you can stay at if you want to stay in Nasugbu for a few days. You can search online or on Facebook, you will find many hotels at low prices.

Best Idea not to spend to much while in vacation

  1. Bring your own food so you don’t have to buy food.
  2. Bring your own tent, so you don’t have to rent it.
  3. If you like to play Volleyball, bring your own ball
  4. Bring your own hygiene items such as shampoo, colgate, toothbrush, soap so you don’t have to buy them.
  5. For parents with children, it is a good idea to bring protective lotion against mosquitoes.

The forbidden in Bituin Cove

  • Do not throw garbage anywhere
  • Do not step on the corals
  • Not allowed for artistic people
  • There is no electricity but there is a large power bank so you can charge your phone.
  • No Travel requirements but they need a valid ID

Did you know that it is better to go to the place earlier because you will find the best location to pitch your tent. Another good thing is that the sea is not that hot so you can paddle in the sea. Because when you go at noon, the place is already too hot.

Is there a store in this area?

  • There is, but it’s small.

Is cooking allowed in Bituin Cove?

  • Yes, but bring your own butane stove as open fires are prohibited. You can also rent butane stove in the area that cost 150 pesos per 1 hour.

Can we grill at Bituin Cove?

  • Yes they have a grill on site.

Does Bituin Cove have a lot of parking?

  • Yes, there are many parking lots in Barangay Calayo (Jump off point) so don’t worry, the parking fee is 50 pesos and if overnight is 100 pesos

Are there many toilets in the area?

  • Yes, there are female, male and senior citizen toilets

Is there internet in the area?

  • Yes the area has a signal like Globe and Smart

It’s nice to bathe at Hanukkah beach, the water is very warm, it’s relaxing, the water is very clean and it’s not that deep, you can enjoy it a lot here.
