How to cook Egg Drop Soup ( Gyeran Guk )
Egg Drop Soup ( Gyeranguk ) is very easy to cook without much effort. If you want to learn how to cook it, you can learn it quickly.
It is so delicious that even your 2 year old child enjoys eating it. If your child has a fever and then does not want to eat, egg soup is also a way to give your child energy.
I learned it from my Korean friend who taught me how to cook it because I was curious about what Korean egg soup tastes like.
When I tasted it, I was relishing the taste of the soup he cooked, especially when he added chilli red which made the soup very refreshing.
You can add chili while waiting for the egg broth to boil, in case you have a child who doesn’t like spicy yet.
Ever since I learned how to cook it, I always cook it at home for my nieces and nephews and they love it.
What are the ingredients in Egg Drop Soup ( Gyeran Guk )
- Dasima & Anchovy and if you don’t know what it is, I’ll just put a picture below. If you don’t have this at home, you can still cook Korean egg soup with normal water.
- 3 – 4 Eggs
- Garlic chop
- 1 Spoon of Korean soy sauce
- 1/4 tsp of salt
- Onion leeks thinly cut
- 1/4 tsp of Sesame oil
Its ingredients are very few but when it is cooked it is very tasty.
How to cook Egg Drop Soup ( Gyeran Guk )
- Boil Dasima & Anchovy with 4 cups of water. If it boils and the color of the soup has changed, you can remove the Dasima & Anchovy and throw it away.
Note
If you don’t have this at home you can still cook Egg Drop Soup ( Gyerabguk ) using fresh water only.
How to?
Just boil 4 cups of water and add half spoon of garlic.
- Whisk the 4 eggs in a bowl and slowly add them to the dashi stock soup you made earlier while simmering.
- Half spoon of garlic, (If you don’t like garlic, you can also not add it because you have another spice made here, it is Dasima and anchovy)
- Add 1 tablespoon of Korean soy sauce.
- 1/4 tsp of salt, If the taste is still lacking, you can also add more salt.
- When it’s good to your taste, you can put the onion leeks that are cut into small pieces. If you like spicy you can also add red chilies.
- The last one is sesame oil ( 1/4 tsp)
It’s very easy guys, you can cook it in just 15 – 20 minutes without any effort. Another thing that makes it beautiful is that it doesn’t cost much because it only has a few ingredients.
