It is also often eaten by Koreans when they are drunk to get rid of their hangover. You can also cook it whenever you want because it is super healthy and it helps in increasing your protein in the body

I cook it when I have a headache from being hung over or drinking the night before.

Many of us do not feel like eating when we are hungover and I am one of them. I have an acquaintance who said I should try to cook spicy squid radish soup (Ojingeo-guk) so that I can eat. He wasn’t wrong because after eating and sipping its delicious soup, I felt better.

For those who wonder where I learned to cook it, it is from an acquaintance of mine who taught me how to cook it.

The Ingredients of (Ojingeo-guk)

  • 250 grams of squid cut into 3 inch strips
  • 250 grams of radish sliced thinly cubes style
  • 1 spoon chop garlic
  • Onion leeks slanting cut
  • 2 spoon of chili powder
  • seasoning soy sauce / fish sauce / Dasida

Most of its ingredients you can only buy in markets. If you don’t have Korean radish at home, you can use Filipino radish. In the country, their radishes are fat and ours are thin and long.

How to cook Korean spicy squid radish soup ( Ojingeo-guk)

  • Combine all the ingredients that you cut such as squid, radish, garlic chop in a medium size pot and mix it well and add 2 spoons of chili powder ( 3 minutes mix ) medium heat

  • If you think the squid should be whiter, add 3 cups of water and increase the heat a little for 10 to 13 minutes.

  • While you are boiling it, add 2 spoons of soysauce, 1 spoon of fish sauce, add half a spoon of Korean Dasida, this is a type of seasoning. If you don’t have it, you can use Ajinomoto, add 1 teaspoon ( Cover again for 3 minutes)

  • If the taste is not enough, you can add salt to make it tastier, and when you think it’s cooked, put the onion leeks and cover again and wait 5 minutes. When you think it’s cooked and the tastes is good, you can serve it on the table.

It’s very easy to cook guys and it doesn’t have too many ingredients. It’s worth all the effort you put into cooking it because this soup is really delicious.
