Jomalig Island Quezon Province

Jomalig Island can be found in the Eastern part of Quezon. I first saw this from my acquaintance who went to the place and told me that the beach he went to was beautiful. According to this, if I want to go, I won’t regret it. He showed me the pictures he took so I could see how beautiful the islands and resorts are.

When I saw the videos and photos he took in Jomalig Island, I was amazed at what I saw, the place he showed me was so beautiful. I say to myself what if I go to this place too ahahaha.

Jomalig Island is known for its attractive crystal clear waters and beautiful fine sand. There are also places that are good to take beautiful pictures because of the vast land surrounding it.

Jomalig Island Quezon Province

Jomalig is known as the smallest and most remote island in the municipality of Quezon province. Perfect place for you to relax and enjoy the beauty of the sea.

You will definitely feel here that you are truly pampered and away from the bustling city of Manila.

How to get there

  • Take a bus from Raymond Bus Sampaloc Manila going to Infanta, Quezon. ( bus fee 270 pesos )
  • From Real Quezon ride a tricycle going to Ungos Port ( 20 pesos ).
  • You will pay a Terminal Fee which is 10 pesos only. Boat to Jomalig it costs 500 pesos.

When going here, you really need a lot of patience because of the long and slow travel before you reach the place.

When I arrived at Tejada’s Resort, I immediately looked for a place to stay because there were only 2 of us and I was excited to see the sea.

Where to stay?

We stayed at Tejada’s Resort. The house you will stay in is relaxing and very simple. Its design is enlarged (Hut) with many rooms and complete kitchen equipment that you can use while on vacation here.

Expenses

Tejada’s Resort Kubo500 pesos ( SOLO )
Beach Entrance fee100 pesos
Gasul fee200 pesos
Island Tour800 pesos

This resort is so close to the sea that’s why it’s one of the places I chose to visit for just 2 days. My only plan is to stay for 1 day, but it doesn’t seem like it’s enough for me.

So we thought of staying here for 2 days, because it’s a shame if you’re only on the island for a while you can’t explore the beauty of the place.

Another thing that makes Jomalig Island beautiful is that you can relax because the place is so quiet. All you can hear are the chirping of birds and the waves of the sea.

While my friend and I walked around the island, we had so much fun. He thanked me for taking him on vacation here.

When we got tired of exploring by the sea, we went home to eat because we were really hungry.

Tips for not spending a lot of money

Bring a cook food if you stay there for day tour

If you want to stay there for 2 days, just buy food to the market and cook it into the Kubo house

Don’t buy anything you don’t need.

From the resort, you will ride a Habal-habal to the market to buy food to cook, you will pay 70 pesos, and the same for the return trip.

So that you don’t have to go back to the market because the Habal-habal fee is quite expensive, buy enough food for you for two days.

Since we were staying for 2 days, we just went to the market and bought enough food to cook for the 2 of us and we will cook it at the resort where we stayed.

We only bought simple food such as fish, vegetables, small meat, sausages and ingredients for cooking.

You can have it cooked by the staff where you are staying, you will only pay them so that you don’t have to worry about cooking and you can just enjoy the whole day.

There is a restaurant at the resort and you can pay 150 pesos for food. What you will find mostly here is Filipino food and seafoods.

Most of their seafood is fresh so it is tasty and delicious. We only bought it 1 time and we cooked it ahahaha because the price is a bit expensive.

On the second day of our stay in the area, we went on an Island tour on a Habal-habal that only cost 800 pesos. We left early because it wasn’t hot and we could enjoy the whole island tour.

My friend and I went to bed early because we were leaving early the next day and we still had a long journey home.
