Dumaguete Negros Oriental Best Tourist Spot
Today we are going to another beautiful place, this is Dumaguete City. Dumaguete is the capital city and main port of Negros Oriental. The place is known as the (City of Friendly People).
It is a very popular tourist destination in Negros Oriental, Philippines. This vlog will help you get the most out of your visit.
It’s my first time to go to the place and I want to share with you so that you know why it is good to visit Dumaguete Negros Oriental. But first is how to get to the place without difficulty.
How to get there from Metro Manila
- OPTION 1
The quickest way to get to Dumaguete from Metro Manila is to ride a plane from NAIA to Dumaguete Sibulan Airport. The flight takes around 1.5 hours.
- OPTION 2
If you are going to take a ferry, you can take a ferry from Manila to Dumaguete, but this will be a much longer journey (around 24 hours or more) and is less convenient than flying.
- From the Airport ride a Habal-habal going to Dumaguete ( 100 pesos more cheaper than the tricycle) . The tricycle driver probably knew I was a tourist so he charged me 200 pesos and I would ride in the back because there were many people sitting in the front. What I did was I looked for a Habal-habal and I was only charged 100 pesos.
When you arrive in the area, you will find many hotels where you can stay. It’s a long flight so you need some rest too.
I told the Habal habal that he will take me straight to Go Hotels Dumaguete because it is only 22 minutes from the airport.

After I toured the Museum, I headed to Rizal Boulevard. This place is also a popular destination for tourists.
A beautiful seaside promenade perfect for a leisurely walk, jogging, or simply enjoying the sunset. It’s a great spot to relax and take in the ocean view.
In this area, you can see the Dumaguete signage where tourists often take pictures to prove that they are in Dumaguete.
Rizal Boulevard was big and wide when I was walking, there were only a few people in the area so I enjoyed walking. If you have a car, they have a parking area and small eateries that you can see across the street.
Sans Rival
When I was hungry, I looked for a place to eat, but according to my analysis, there is a place that tourists often visit. This is Sans Rival, which is famous for cakes and pastries. This restaurant can be found on San Jose st. Dumaguete
Always expect a lot of people at Sans Rival, so what I did was take out and eat at the hotel. The cake they sell is not too expensive.
” Day 2 at Dumaguete” Valencia Tour
On my second day, I ate again at the famous fast food in the area to fill my stomach for the next trip to Valencia .
I rode a tricycle to Valencia and we passed a famous sight called the Sulfur Vents. The smokey mountain side has an unpleasant smell due to the presence of Hydrogen Sulfide.
The Sulfur Vents have a large rock and surrounded by smoke which is strangely beautiful. But I didn’t stay long, I was afraid of getting sick because of the strong smell of smoke.

We went to the falls first because it was far away. The tricycle I rode to the falls also took me to Red Rock Hot Spring. ( 3 minutes away from Pulang Bato Falls)
This resort is a great place to relax in the famously cool temperatures of Valencia Negros Oriental.
Hot spring water around 37.5 to 39.5 degrees celsius. It comes from a natural spring that gushes out of the water outlet right next to the pool.
