Bantayan Island Day Tour

Today we will go to a beautiful island. It is located to the west of the Northern end of Cebu. This is the Bantayan Island is an excellent place to relax. The island is a great destination located in the Visayan Sea.

It is located on the northern coast of Cebu Island in the Philippines. It is famous and known for its clean beaches, clear waters, and relaxed atmosphere.

It has powder soft white sand that doesn’t hurt to walk on, palm tree lined shores that make the scenery even more beautiful and aquamarine waters.

It was my first time to go to Bantayan Island. When I arrived on the island I was fascinated by its enchanting beauty. Most of the time you will meet people who are kind and helpful and really make you feel welcome on the island.

How to Get There

• By Plane: You can also fly from Mactan-Cebu International Airport to Bantayan Island Airport, though flights might be limited.
• VIA Bus: Take a bus from the North Bus Terminal to Hagnaya Port in San Remigio (approximately 3-4 hours).
• By Ferry: From Hagnaya Port, take a ferry to Santa Fe Port on Bantayan Island (approximately 1 hour).

This trip is fast when you take a plane that is not very punctual. Because it takes a long time to take a boat, so I prefer to take a plane to get to the island quickly

Do you know why Bantayan Island is good to visit because the island is famous for its stunning white-sand beaches, such as Paradise Beach and Sugar Beach.

If you want to relax, the beach is worth visiting because the island offers a peaceful atmosphere, perfect for relaxation away from the hustle and bustle.

I’m sure you won’t get bored here because there are activities you can do such as snorkeling, island hopping, and exploring local culture and cuisine.

Is there an entrance fee to Bantayan Island?

Based on my experience, there is no general entrance fee for Bantayan Island. However, certain attractions or private beaches may charge a small fee.

Things to Bring

• Swimwear & beach towels
• Snorkeling gear ( If you plan to snorkel. Better to bring your own stuff.)
• Cash (as ATMs might be limited)
• Reusable water bottle

It’s better to bring small bills if you go swimming because there are food and goods vendors that will surely amaze you and you won’t have to look for ATM machines to get money.

Dining Options

If you are hungry there are several restaurants in Bantayan Island that offer a variety of cuisines, including local Filipino dishes and international options.

You can find many restaurants right next to the island. I didn’t bring my own food because I was the only one on vacation and I was from a far away place so what I did was eat at the restu. The food I choose is seafood because it’s my favorite ahaha, it’s delicious and affordable.

Is it possible to bring food to the Island?

You can bring your own food to the island. However, make sure to check the rules of specific resorts or beaches if you plan to consume food there.

Parking Area

If you’re coming by car from Cebu, you can park at Hagnaya Port. On Bantayan Island, some accommodations and areas may offer parking, but it’s best to check in advance.

Bantayan Island Day Tour

The best time to visit Bantayan Island is during the dry season, from November to May. Did you know that it’s nice to go on vacation when it doesn’t rain because you can really enjoy it.

I was a bit dissapointed because it rained the day I went to Bantayan Island. Because I didn’t search online for what day is good to visit the island. The day I chose to go there was always rainy.

But somehow it was worth it for me to come here. The next day, the rain stopped and I could enjoy the island even more. You have a lot of strangers to socialize with that you’ll see they’ll enjoy too.
