Questions

  • Can you bring food to the island?

Yes, you can bring food. It is also a good idea to bring enough water. For those who like to grill, they have an on-site grill free but you have to buy your own charcoal.

  • What is the best thing to do when you go to the island alone?

In my experience here, it’s better to do a joiners tour because the entrance fee and food are more economical and free, just enjoy yourself. You can find information on their facebook.

How much is the boat fare?

Most of the boats on the island are large enough to accommodate up to 20 passengers and are priced at 3000 pesos for a roundtrip transfer. If you are alone, you can share with other passengers to save more on what you will pay for the boat.

Is there a store on the island?

There is no store on the island but you can buy a limited number of soap, drinks, snacks at the registration center which is a bit more expensive than its original price. It is better to buy necessities in Cebu mainland such as food, water, ice, drinks and other things you need.

Is there a toilet on the island?

Yes, there are bathrooms and showers on the island but you need to save water because the fresh water on the island is limited. The only thing I can advise you is that it is better to rinse it off when you get back to the mainland or the hotel you are staying at.

What time does the boat usually travel?

The boat usually leaves around 9 am so you should be on the boat by 8 30 am. Always remember that you have to cross open water to get to the Island so expect to experience big waves.
