Today we are going to a famous resort located in Daanbantayan, Cebu. This is Golden Sands Destination Resorts, a great place to visit for its stunning natural beauty, helpful staff, and engaging activities.

The highlights of this resort are their breathtaking views of the island, outdoor swimming pool, private white beach and a stunning lagoon.

Golden Sands Destination Resorts has 25 hectares of land with 1.75 kilometers of beach and lagoon.

Our experience at the resort is a fond memory so far. Because the beach is amazing and the resort gives you comfort from the smoky and crowded place.

If you want to relax, Golden Sands Destination Resorts is one of the best places to visit because it has a beautiful view and a clean environment. The good thing is that there are not too many people so you can really enjoy your vacation.

How to get there

• If you are coming from Manila, you will take a plane to Mactan Cebu airport.
• From Mactan Airport you will find a bus outside the airport going to SM North Bus Terminal “Fare 50 pesos”
• From the Terminal you will take a bus going to Maya.
• When you arrive in Maya you will take a boat heading to Malapascua. ” Boat Fare P200 , Environmental Fee P75 and for passenger fee P20″
• Malapascua ride a Habal-habal going to Golden Sands Destination Resorts “Fare 100 pesos”

If you are used to traveling, you will quickly find this place. It’s not hard to find because almost everyone there knows this place. When you get lost, you can ask them.

For those who want to do a Daytour, you can pay 950 pesos at the resort. And you will also pay 450 pesos for your Consumable Food & Drinks You won’t be wasting your money because I’m sure you’ll get the most out of a day exploring the resort.

As soon as we entered the resort, you wouldn’t think that there is something hidden in the place that is such a beautiful resort that is so beautiful to look at.

The best thing about this resort is that it’s not too hot because of the trees that give you air and a comfortable feeling.

You can see many trees but mostly coconut trees which make it more beautiful.

The resort is so big that you will definitely get tired walking around it. The unique design of the resort is amazing to see as from the rooms you cross two footbridges right to the beach.

On the first bridge you go to a small island surrounded by trees and green water and on the second bridge it’s on the beach.

They also have a pool just next to the beach where you can see the beautiful view and blue ocean.

This pool is just steps away from the Golden Sands Destination Resorts restaurant. They have a small Bar nearby as well.

You can use this pool from 8 am to 7 pm when you are on a day tour. Just a few steps from the pool you can see the sea up close and you can swim in it if you want.

Another thing that makes the resort beautiful is that you can relax a lot, there are many small pool beds on the side and hammocks surrounding the resort.

They also have a clean and nice toilet and bath area just near the Bar I was talking about earlier.

They have a large event area where you can have a birthday, family reunion, wedding celebration and more, it’s also close to the Bar and pool just a few steps away.

Golden Sands Destination Resorts

My experience at this resort is a happy memory to this day and it still gives me a good feeling. Almost all my stress disappeared when I went to the resort.

Golden Sands Destination Resorts is a spacious, clean, beautiful view, clean pool and delicious food. The rooms and food are expensive, but everything is worth it.

Cheap Hotel ( Daanbantayan )

According to Agoda, there is a cheap hotel located right in Daanbantayan.

1. D & N LODGE – The average price is from 1,557 pesos only. Wifi and car parking are free.
2. Crystal Jam Resort – Average price is from 1,266 pesos near beach and free Wifi and parking.
3. Arriyus Apartelle – Average price per night is around 2,500 pesos with beach view, free Wifi and parking area. The owner and staff were very friendly and accommodating.
4. KM Pension 3-6 – The average price per night is 1,608 pesos with free parking area.
5. Suba Beach Nipa Huts – the average price per night is 806 pesos. Near the beach, you can bring a pet, free parking area and non-smoking rooms. Many say that Suba Beach Nipa Huts are beautiful and worth it.

Restaurant nearby

• Amihan Restaurant – 9 km with beautiful view and delicious food. Seafood, Italian Pizza and more.
• Ristorante Angelina – 9 km their famous food is Italian pizza.
• Kokay’s Maldito Dive Resort – 9.2 km Everything is average/ with happy hours. Cuisines is Filipino, Asian, Bar, European.
• Sunset Bar – 9.3 km Cold beer and good food.
• The Craic House – 9.9 km the food is delicious and the average meal is 177 pesos to 472 pesos. The cuisines are Gastropub, Bar and International.
