Many locals say that the Enchanted River has super natural creatures that live underwater. It acts as a protector that causes blue water to appear.

If you see it in person you will be truly amazed by its appearance that you will never forget its beauty. I was amazed when I saw it because it was different from the lagoon I see in the Philippines.

I have nothing else to say about this river but the Hinatuan Enchated River is absolutely amazing. it’s relaxing and de-stressing when you see its form, especially the color.

Is it possible to swim here?

In 2017, the government prohibited swimming here in order to preserve its scenery and beauty. You won’t regret it because there is an opportunity to swim 10 meters downstream in shallow water, but you still need to wear a life jacket for your safety.

If you stay in the area until afternoon, you can see the caretakers feeding the fish. While feeding it you will hear someone ringing a bell and it is also playing the Hymn of Hinatuan.

In this tradition, silver colored fish emerge from the deep blue water. They gather at the mouth of the river to prepare to eat the food that was given to them.

• Ninoy Aquino International Airport to Butuan City Domestic Airport.
• From the airport take a van going to Hinatuan Town.
• Ride a tricycle going to Hinatuan Enchanted River

Another thing I will advise you is that it is better to bring mosquito lotion so that you don’t get bitten by it. We know that it is quite a jungle and there are many mosquitoes that live in the area.
